Spark

Friday 2 November 2007.

Bhakti is like a spark of innocence, new-born, magnetic
An all-healing balm soothing heartbeats so hectic
Bhakti is law-giver, intuitive compass for daily decisions
Acting spontaneously it exposes ritualism

Bhakti is not blind faith but wisdom discretion
Raising us beyond the hatred taught by religions
We surrender to God not to the merchants of falsehood
Raping the faith of those hearts simple and good

Bhakti is love’s whirling Dervish dance
Expressing itself in unbearable radiance
Bhakti is mother-tongue of all nations
Blossoming from a seed it reaches out for salvation

Shraddhanand says: O friend, do not keep this prisoner in the cell of your heart, this prisoner who can illuminate even the darkest spot in this world, who can transcend molecules & universes and dances without movement.
