I have seen no rain today
Yet it pours lavishly away
Giving rise to crops and cleansing the land
Cleansing it of its dirt produced by man
The pollution, the waste, the stink, the decay
Cleansing it with brilliance and carrying it away
Away through the on-going stream
Where it shall be disposed of by the Unseen
But I have seen no rain today
As I see only the dirt that remains
The dirt that is clung to the minds
The minds of men, growing ignorant with time
Giving rise to false pride and disuniting the people of the nations
The hatred, the conditions, the egotism, the arrogance
For what shall they await to cleanse them away?
Thus I have seen no rain today
Yet it pours lavishly away.
