How long, oh my Lord how long,
do I still have to wait
to see Thy entire resplendent radiance
and mingle with it without a trace
of my individual presence.
How long have I yet to athirst,
how long to cleanse all my blemishes
that keep me away from Thee !
It’s my only prayer to Thee oh Lord,
let me not just tarry along the way,
let me not fritter away the hours,
needlessly employed with all that
which is of utter no use to me !
