A rosebud’s glance
Did hit romance
and sharply curled its tale
for in its lance
did pierce its chance
to live a longer tale
When lifted thus
a great big thrust
and burst forth with the flame
a jupiter complexion blast
a cinematic fair
Rosebud’s glance
did hapless romance
see right through the lance
of spite
of hate of jealousy debate
did the hapless rose perform
with such vigour
that the poor did not celebrate
but cried
For the rosebud’s glance
did burst
not lance
and given but an eye
did lift its head
and gave a grin
of fruitful
roses dew
